Back in February of 2018 the Packing District was publicly announced as a 202 acre transformational project that will take the existing buildings and repurpose them with new integrated uses to revitalize the surrounding area.
The packing districts first community is Called the Brix in reference to the juicing process of measuring dissolved sugar in liquid, which follows in line with the packing districts original Orange Juice theme.
The plan involves 135 townhome to be built in an 8 acre site across from the YMCA, which is currently under construction on the southeast corner of John young and Princeton.
